Born in San Antonio, Texas, October of 1967, Jonathan Nutt moved with his family to southern Louisiana at the age of 4. "My love of the outdoors began before I was old enough to walk. As I grew, photography became my way of sharing what I saw with others while exploring the woods and wetlands near my home.
Jonathan has been an artist in one form or another from the time he was old enough to hold a crayon and has worked as a full time photographer for more than half his life. "I can't imagine doing anything else. I started my career as a documentary photographer 30 years ago, capturing the beauty and diversity of the South for various magazine and book publishers."
A regular contributor to Louisiana Life and New Orleans Magazines, Jonathan's corporate, commercial and editorial client list includes: Southwest Airlines, Kodak, Louisiana Conservationist, The National Geographic Society, Frommer's Budget Travel, Scholastic Publishing, Reader's Digest, and Off The Beaten Path travel guides just to name a few.
"The last few years I've begun exploring the creative side of photography, as a fine art photographer. I'm honored to say that my prints are in the collections of individuals, corporations and organizations around the world. I hope you enjoy seeing my work as much as I enjoy creating it. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to write and ask. I'd love to hear from you."
